Success in Soccer Golf goes to those who plan carefully and keep a cool head.
This fun sport originated in Scandinavia, where soccer golf was first played around 25 years ago. Since then, it has grown hugely in popularity – there are now several hundred soccer/football golf courses across Europe, with the highest concentration in Germany, and new courses continue to open every year. Annual championships are held throughout Europe, and the World Football Golf Association (WFGA) organizes both World and European championships each year. Our course in the South West of Western Australia is the first of its kind in the country and will soon become an official member of the WFGA – the very first in Australia.
Soccer golf is played like traditional golf, with 18 holes and varying pars – our course has a par of 76. Players kick a ball with their foot, without using any clubs, navigating obstacles and aiming to get the ball into the hole with as few “kicks” as possible. Our outdoor soccer-golf course covers approximately 40,000 m². Hole lengths range from 50 to 110 meters, with a total course distance of about 1.5 km for all 18 holes combined. It typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours to fully enjoy this unique and exciting activity.
This innovative sport is perfect for families, companies, clubs, birthday parties, groups, team-building events, or just a fun outing with friends. Skilled soccer players don’t always have the advantage – though a good strategy definitely helps!
